What happens to a walkthrough recorded through MoveVision, and to anything else we collect: what we hold, who receives it, and how long it is kept.
Who we are
MoveVision is software that moving companies use to survey a home and price a move. It is operated by Correll Technologies. Your moving company created your survey and sent you the link. We run the service for them.
That means your moving company decides what happens to your survey. They asked you for your details, they hold the quote, and they decide when the survey is deleted. We hold the video, the list and your details on their behalf, and we act on their instructions.
There are two kinds of information here. Your survey belongs to your moving company and we hold it for them. Our own records, such as the waitlist, a message sent through the contact form and our logs, we collect to run MoveVision.
What we collect
When your moving company creates a survey they give us your name, and where they have them, your phone number, the address you are moving from, the address you are moving to and your move date.
When you record a walkthrough we collect:
- The video of each room, including its sound.
- Still pictures taken from that video, used as the thumbnail beside each item.
- A written transcript of what you said while filming.
- The inventory proposed from your video, and every correction you or an estimator make to it.
- The quote your moving company builds from that inventory.
- A record of the steps you reached, such as opening the link and finishing a room, and of failures such as the camera not starting. These records name the survey and the room. They never hold the video, a still, or a word of the transcript.
If you join the waitlist we collect your company name and your email address. If you write to us through the contact form we collect your name, your email address, your message, and your company name when you give one.
Each of those forms also stores a one-way hash of the network address it came from, with the form's name and the time, so that one network cannot flood us. It is a hash, never the address itself, and the next submission deletes every row older than an hour.
Who receives it
Other than your moving company, the companies below receive some of this. Each receives it to do one job for us.
The walkthrough video, including its sound, and stills taken from it
Reading the room to propose the inventory, and writing the transcript
Vercel
The video and the stills, and our server logs
Hosting the site, and storing the video and the stills
Neon
Your name, phone number, addresses and move date, the inventory, the corrections, the quote and the transcript, and a hashed network address from the public forms
The database, and the sign-in service for moving companies
Resend
What you type into the waitlist or the contact form: your name, your email address, your company and your message. Never any part of a walkthrough
Delivering that email to us, and the receipt back to you
We do not sell your data. Nobody outside your moving company and the companies above receives it.
The typeface on this site is downloaded when we build it and served from our own address, so your browser does not request anything from Google to read this page.
Separation and security
Each moving company sees only its own surveys.
The video and the stills are kept in a private store and reach a screen only through MoveVision.
A homeowner sees their moving company's brand on their link, and the link is the only access they have.
How long we keep it
What removes data today. The only thing that removes data today is your moving company deleting the survey, which removes everything that survey holds at once: the video, the stills taken from it, the transcript, the working data behind the inventory, the inventory, the quote and your contact details.
The scheduled removal that would enforce the windows below is not built. Until it is, those windows are the retention we commit to on request, carried out by hand, within the timings in the next section. Deleting a survey is something we run for a company during the beta, because no screen in their dashboard offers it yet.
The transcript of what you said
7 days from the day you recorded, fixed
Set by us
The walkthrough video
your moving company's video window: 30 days from the day you recorded by default, and anywhere from 14 to 365
Set by your moving company
Stills taken from the video
the same as the video
Follows the video
The working data behind the inventory
the same as the video
Follows the video
The inventory, the rooms, the corrections and the quote
until your moving company deletes the survey or closes its account
Set by your moving company
Your contact details
the same as the inventory
Set by your moving company
A moving company's own account data
while they are a customer, removed within 30 days of closing
Set by us
Waitlist and invitation records
invitation links expire after 14 days; rows are kept until accepted or cancelled, then 90 days
Set by us
Messages you send through the contact form
not stored by MoveVision: the message is delivered by email to our contact inbox and kept there
Set by us
The hashed network address behind a waitlist or contact form submission
1 hour, and the next submission deletes every row older than that
Set by us
Our application logs, and the record of the steps you reached
30 days at most, and never video, stills or transcript text
Set by us
Our record of each model call: how many tokens it used, what it cost, which model ran, how long it took, and a scrubbed reason when one fails
for the life of the moving company's account, because it is billing history, so deleting a survey does not reach it
Set by us
The transcript has the shortest life at every setting: it is fixed at 7 days and the video window cannot be set below 14. The inventory is meant to outlive the video, which is why it has no window of its own. The day you recorded means the day the video finished uploading, which is the only date every recording carries.
How to ask for your walkthrough to be deleted
You have no account with us, and your walkthrough belongs to the survey your moving company created. So ask them, using the contact details they gave you. Where your moving company has filled in a support contact, it also appears on the last screen of the walkthrough.
They delete the survey, which removes the video, the stills, the transcript, the working data, the inventory, the quote and your contact details together. There is no partial deletion: a survey goes whole or not at all. If they still need the quote for a move that is under way, they carry out your request once that move is closed, and the video window above still applies in the meantime.
During the beta your moving company asks us to run the deletion, because no screen in their dashboard offers it yet. We honour your request within 30 days of your moving company receiving it.
If you write to us directly we will put you in touch with your moving company, because a walkthrough is identified by their survey and not by your name.
After a deletion runs. The video and the rows are gone from the store and from the database as soon as the request completes. Three copies can outlive that briefly:
- A browser that played the video in the last hour may hold a copy until that hour is up. That copy is on that one device.
- Our database keeps a short change history so that a mistake can be undone. That window is six hours, read from our database provider's console on 10 September 2026. Inside it, restoring the database could bring rows back. After it, nothing can.
- What Vercel does with a deleted file inside their own systems is theirs, and we do not restate it as our promise. Their documentation is at https://vercel.com/docs/vercel-blob.
We commit to a deletion being complete everywhere we control within 24 hours of the request being run.
If your company uses MoveVision
An owner can ask us in writing to close the account, and we remove every survey, the settings, the brand assets and the members within 30 days.
If you joined the waitlist or sent us a message
Write to contact@correlltechnologies.com and we will remove your details.
Your choices before you record
Before the walkthrough starts we ask you to accept this page. The button that starts it does not work until you do, and our server refuses to take a video for a survey where that acceptance has not been recorded. We store the date and time you accepted, and the version of this page you were shown, against your survey.
You do not have to film. If you would rather your moving company sent somebody to the house, tell them.
Changes to this page
The version of this page is the date at the top. When we change the page we change that date. Because we store the version you accepted, we can always tell which text you agreed to.
