- Delete the survey
- Remove the survey and the data it owns.
Collect the evidence with a plan for keeping it
Home videos deserve deliberate handling. Customer consent is recorded with the privacy-policy version, and surveys, inventories and media are scoped to their company. Retention settings give your team a defined period for keeping clips and stills.
How it works in practice
Step 1
Explain and record consent
The customer accepts the privacy policy before recording. MoveVision saves the consent and policy version with the survey.
Step 2
Choose the retention period
Video retention defaults to 30 days from upload. Choose a company period from 14 days up to your plan allowance, at most 365 days, or override it for an individual survey.
Step 3
Remove what is no longer needed
Clips and stills are deleted automatically under the retention setting. You can remove a room's videos or photos while keeping inventory, or delete a survey and the data it owns.
What is included
Recorded consent and privacy version
Your customer’s consent is saved along with the version of the privacy policy they agreed to.
Delete room video, keep inventory
Remove a room’s video or photos and keep its inventory.
Each company sees only its own data
Your surveys, inventories and video are visible only inside your company.
Video kept as long as you choose
Keep video 30 days from upload by default. Choose from 14 days up to your plan allowance, at most 365 days, or override it for one survey. Clips and stills are deleted automatically, and you can delete a whole survey and everything it owns.
What to keep in mind
Retention periods apply to the recorded media. Transcripts have a separate seven-day deletion period, and retaining inventory after deleting a room's media means the source video is no longer available for later review. Read the privacy policy for the full terms.
Can we delete a video without deleting its inventory?
Yes. You can remove the video or photos for a room and keep its inventory. Deleting an entire survey removes the survey and the data it owns.
